Meet J. Michael Shane and Eric Michael Firkel.   “Mike” Shane is a graduate of Georgetown University and Georgetown Law.   He began practicing law with the United States Air Force Jag Corps in 1958.   Over his illustrious career, Mike has represented thousands of clients throughout Western New York.   From individuals and small businesses to large corporations, universities, hospitals, nonprofit organizations, municipalities, and estates, Mike has seen it all.   

Whether a typical real estate transaction or complex commercial litigation, Shane brings a wealth of knowledge and tenacity to every case.   What’s more, he’ll be 89 next February and shows no signs of slowing down.   Mike is admitted to practice law before the State Courts of New York and the United States District Court for the Western District of New York.  

Eric Firkel is a graduate of Georgetown University and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.   Beginning his career in Bradford, Pennsylvania, Eric began his career at the firm of Pecora & Duke, focusing his practice on commercial litigation, oil and gas law, real estate and estate planning.   After learning for several years under Bradford Attorney (and regrettably Notre Dame Grad) Stanley E. Pecora, and Olean attorney, Daniel A. DeRose, Eric and Mike formed the partnership Shane and Firkel, PC in 2017.   Eric is admitted to practice law before the State courts of New York and Pennsylvania.
